What we collect

• Quote requests — name, phone number, email (optional), device and issue description.
• Communications — messages you send by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• Repair records — device details, work carried out, parts used, payment record.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and quote your repair.
• To carry out the repair you've asked for and contact you about it.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interests (responding to enquiries), contract(carrying out a repair you've booked) and legal obligation (e.g. keeping accounting records).

How long we keep it

Quote requests are kept for up to 12 months. Repair records and invoices are kept for 6 years to meet HMRC requirements. We delete data sooner on request where we are legally able to.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business: our website host (Lovable / Cloudflare), our database provider (Supabase, EU region) and HMRC where required by law.

Device data & repairs

We avoid accessing personal data on devices left for repair. Where a repair requires us to log in (e.g. software issues, data recovery), we'll ask your permission and won't view, copy or share anything beyond what's needed for the job. Back up your device before you hand it over where possible.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it. Email hello@tabitechrepair.co.uk to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
